Starting next week, I am going to post the schedule of each class so that you can see what the boys and girls do during the day at NALC. Of course, the older classes have more structure and a larger "learning time." That is also why I serve breakfast from 7:30 - 8:00 in the Arctic, Jungle, Forest, and Farm. Those classes work toward starting "Circle Time" around 8:00am.
The younger classes are a little more flexible with the time schedule. The teachers in the Park, Ocean, Beach, and Space spend more time getting into the class, allowing the children to interact with their friends, and settling down for breakfast.
As for me, I am in the kitchen by 7:00am getting things ready for breakfast. Most classes are always ready for breakfast. Some of the boys and girls "cheer' as I enter the room. They make me feel like a "Rock Star."
It is that time of year and we are excited, but we are also tearful. Some of our boys and girls will be starting Kindergarten this week and will no longer be children in our facility. It just seems so different to not see their faces every day.
Congratulations to the students entering the Public School System. We know that you will have a great time and enjoy learning more things. You are amazing!
*There is still room in our Pre-K room for parents that wish to have an amazing program that will prepare your child for entering Kindergarten next year. Give us a call or drop by for a visit.
Earlier, we had a child "pre-tested" in the Oxford School System and the teacher said the child was "well-ready" for Kindergarten. That was such good news to hear. That is just how good our Pre-K Program is at NALC. It is going to be even better this year.
The children at NALC call me "Gomey."
