At New Adventures Learning Center our classrooms are all furnished with DHR approved furnishings and equipment, found in the DHR Minimum Standards for Daycares.
Each classroom at NALC has a set schedule for structured everyday activities. Our schedules include meal times, learning large and small group times, one-on-one times, rest times, bathroom breaks, free play, hands on learning activities, science experiments, Bible stories/verses, sensory activities, developmental activities, arts and crafts, music and movement, and activities that go along with our curriculum lessons. Each teacher prepares a weekly lesson plan to go along with the letter of the week, number of the week, and color/shape of the week.
Our Classrooms
Nursery: 6 weeks- 10/12 months
This is where our tiniest tots begin their New Adventure! They are in this classroom until they turn 10-12 months. When they turn 10-12 months, we transition them and move them into The Ocean.
The Ocean: 10/12 months - 18 months
After getting lots of cuddles in the Nursery, the children will dive on into The Ocean. In the Ocean, the children will be able to be more mobile. We work on mastering walking, we begin eating solid foods, we transition from cribs to cots, and much more! Once they turn one and a half and are ready, they will cruise into The Space.
The Space: 1 1/2 - 2 years
This is a room where the children transition to eating at a table, drinking from a cup, and begin to learn colors, shapes, and they work on transitioning from high chairs to small tables, learn to be more independent, and much more! Once they turn two and are ready, they will hop on over to The Beach.
The Beach: 2 - 2 1/2 years
After mastering some major milestones in The Space, the children will cruise into The Beach to explore the world around them. We begin to work on Potty Training and most children are potty trained before leaving this room.
The Farm: 2 1/2 - 3 year olds
After having a blast in The Forest, they will move into The Farm. In The Farm they will finish mastering potty training for children who are struggling. They continue building a foundation of education by participating in a group learning time every day. When they turn three and are potty trained, they take a safari ride to The Jungle.
The Forest: 3 - 3 1/2 year olds
After exploring the Farm, the children will move on into the Forest where they have many opportunities to become more independent. They learn to sit for group circle time. Here, we begin to build the foundation of education, and much more.
The Jungle: 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 year olds
After exploring the Forest, the children head to The Jungle. This is where they are focusing on getting prepared for our Pre-K room. They focus on mastering letter, number, color, and shape recognition, as well as many other educational basics. After going on a Jungle Adventure to see what they can learn, the children slide into The Arctic.
The Arctic: 4 - 5 year olds/Pre-K
The Arctic is the last stop on the Adventure to Kindergarten. The Arctic is where your child will make the leap in lessons getting ready for 'Big School'! We focus on preparing each child for Kindergarten physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively. They have a large group and small group learning time each day. At the end of each school year, we have a Pre-K Graduation for our children who are going to Kindergarten.

Some of the recently painted murals on our walls. Our chef drew them on the walls and some of the staff helped fill in colors. Then, our chef went behind everyone and did the detail work on each piece.
