Our Classrooms
At New Adventures Learning Center our classrooms are all furnished with DHR approved furnishings and equipment, found in the DHR Childcare Licensing And Performance Standards for Daycares.
Each classroom at NALC has a set schedule for structured everyday activities. Our schedules include meal times, learning (large and small group times), one-on-one, Naptime, bathroom breaks, free play, hands on learning activities, science experiments, Bible stories/verses, sensory activities, developmental activities, arts and crafts, music and movement, and activities that go along with our curriculum lessons. Each teacher prepares a weekly lesson plan to go along with the letter of the week, number of the week, and color/shape of the week.
Each classroom has responsibilities for working with the children to master specific skills.

Nursery: 6 weeks- 1 year
Storybook Corner: 1- 1 1/2 years
Storybook corner: 1 - 1 1/2 Year
After getting lots of cuddles in the Nursery, the children will begin their adventures In Storybook corner. the children will be able to be more mobile. We work on mastering walking, we begin eating solid foods, we transition from cribs to cots, and much more! Once they turn one and a half and are ready, they will turn the page to the next chapter of their story in our candy land classroom. |
Candy Land: 1 1/2- 2 years
Candy Land: 1 1/2 - 2 years
This is a room where the children transition to eating at a table, drinking from a cup, and begin to learn colors, shapes, and they work on transitioning from high chairs to small tables, learn to be more independent, and much more! We use the frog street toddler curriculum in this classroom. Once they turn two and are ready, they will turn the page to their next adventure and head into pirate cove. |
Pirate Cove: 2- 2 1/2 years
Pirate Cove: 2 - 2 1/2 years
After mastering some major milestones in candy land, the children will head into pirate cove to explore the world around them. We begin to work on Potty Training in this room. Also the children are continuing to work on drinking from a cup, recognizing shapes and colors, and much more! We use the frog street toddler curriculum in this classroom. Their next chapter will begin in Dino world our 2 1/2 to 3 year old classroom. |
Dino world: 2 1/2- 3 years
Dino world: 2 1/2 - 3 year olds
After exploring the world around them in pirate cove, they will move into Dino world. In Dino world they will finish mastering potty training for children who are struggling. They continue building a foundation of education by participating in a group learning time every day. We use the frog street toddler curriculum in this classroom. When they turn three, they are on to their next chapter in the enchanted forest. |
enchanted Forest: 3- 3 1/2 years
Enchanted Forest: 3 - 3 1/2 year olds
After digging into learning in Dino world, the children will move on into the enchanted Forest where they have many opportunities to become more independent. They learn to sit for group circle time. Here, we begin to build the foundation of education, and much more. We use the frog street threes curriculum in this classroom. So many important foundations have been established in the enchanted forest, but it is time to turn the page and go on their next adventure in our magic treehouse. |
magic treehouse: 3 1/2- 4 1/2 years
magic treehouse: 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 year olds
After laying important foundations in the enchanted forest, the children head to The magic treehouse where building begins on their learning foundation. This is where they are focusing on getting prepared for our Pre-K room. They focus on mastering letter, number, color, and shape recognition, as well as many other educational basics. We use the frog street threes curriculum in this classroom. After going on a magic treehouse Adventure to see what they can learn, the children are ready to become a pre-k explorer. |
Pre-K Explorers: 4-5 years
Pre-K explorers: 4 - 5 year olds/Pre-K
becoming a pre-k explorer is the last stop on the Adventure to Kindergarten. It is where your child will make the leap in lessons getting ready for 'Big School'! We focus on preparing each child for Kindergarten physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively. They have a large group and small group learning time each day. At the end of each school year, we have a Pre-K Graduation for our children who are going to Kindergarten. We use the frog street pre-k curriculum in this classroom. |
